“A protest expedition by certain organizations could inconvenience all of our people as it may have a negative effect on our efforts to negotiate the visa-waiver program with the United States,” said the statement, also signed by Deputy Prime Minister for Finance Han Duck-soo.

The minute one of them pulls out a stick or a pipe, I say ship the lot of them to Gitmo. In any event, I’m souring on this FTA, at least for the near future.

Update 5/18: Ambassadors of their Country. With a small band of leftist thugs set to descend on Washington in June, the Chosun Ilbo has this priceless quote from another leftist thug who helped humiliate his countrymen in another time and place.

The groups also staged such protests in Hong Kong last year. They rallied peacefully for the first few days, but in the end they became violent against police and claimed dozens of victims. A Democratic Labor Party member who joined the rally in Hong Kong confided, “We became violent in staging the protests at the time because we thought that just shouting slogans and other peaceful means of protests were not worth the W1 million (US$100,000) we paid to come to Hong Kong.

In other words, they made a calculated decision to use violence and break the law to achieve their political objectives. We have a word for people who do things like that here. Let them demonstrate peacefully to their hearts’ content, but the minute anyone picks up a rock or a stick, throw his happy ass in Gitmo until his deportation hearing. Then, just for the sake of entertainment, watch all the people who never pronounced the word “Yodok” cry plaintively for the release of these “political” prisoners.
