HRC Update

Arguably, nothing South Korea’s National Human Rights Commission does matters more than documenting and trying to prevent human rights abuses in North Korea. The HRC has often seemed reluctant to do that, and its priorities have sometimes seemed wildly disproportionate to the gravity of the matters it investigates. This time, however, it is actually looking into the impending execution of a North Korean prisoner.

It’s a small step in the right direction.
