The frantic exercises staged by the Lee Myung Bak warlike forces who put the inter-Korean relations in total stalemate and drove the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the brink of war through their reckless anti-DPRK confrontational moves will only precipitate their ruin. — KCNA, Feb. 8, 2009
No one can predict what more serious crisis will occur in the north-south relations that were already put at deadlock if Hyon In Thaek, anti-DPRK confrontational fanatic and sycophantic traitor serving the U.S., is allowed to become minister of “Unification,” the commentary says, and goes on:
The army and people of the DPRK are hardening their resolution to certainly force Hyon to pay for his crime of coming out to mastermind the confrontation with fellow countrymen as a cat’s paw serving Lee Myung Bak. If he is allowed to hold the post of the minister of “Unification,” the inter-Korean relations will grow worse and be pushed to collapse. [….]

The U.S. imperialist aggressor troops in south Korea staged madcap drills for a war together with puppets of the south Korean army almost every day recently at a time when the U.S. warmongers let loose a spate of reckless remarks calling for the “use of military power” against the DPRK. These exercises are a preliminary war to examine and round off the performing capability of the already mapped-out war scenario targeted against the DPRK without an exception. These are nothing but a revelation of military attempt aimed at mounting a preemptive attack on the DPRK any time.
The U.S. imperialists’ preparatory moves for launching a new war only compel the people of the DPRK to sharpen revolutionary vigilance against them and bolster a powerful deterrent capable of coping with them.
The people of the DPRK want peace but are never afraid of a war. If the U.S. bellicose forces seek to ignite a war at any cost the army and people of the DPRK will deal a deadly blow at the aggressors by giving full play to the strength and mental power they have built up by dint of Songun. — KCNA, Feb. 9, 2009
