Overthrowing Kim: A Capitalist Manifesto (Part 3)

In Part 3, I discuss harnessing the power of the jangmadang, how to destroy North Korea’s information blockade, the logistics of contraband, and how to attrit the capabilities of North Korea’s security forces before the people even begin to oppose the regime.

Update: One of my all-time favorites, Michael Totten, links Parts 1 and 2 from Instapundit no less. Wow.

  1. Sheer brilliance so far, my friend. This would be a dazzling Master’s thesis, if not a submission for a MacArthur Genius Grant.

  2. I agree this is good reading and I to am glad to see the slow but increasing growth of defector radio stations and leaflet drops that are fighting back against the Kim regime propaganda. It would be even better to see a coherent strategy to increase these efforts to fight the information war within the DPRK as Joshua recommends.

I am looking forward to the next chapter.

  3. So have we found ourselves here a contender for an advisory panel to, say, US Secretary of State or Foreign Press Centre ? Here’s my prediction that within 2 – 4 years from now Mr. OFK will probably be one of the above, or at best a USA AFC or Lankov. Ticks a few boxes too, ie server in US Military, educated, Korea, bla bla bla. You read it here first, my predictions do often come true, so congratiolations.
