I’d argue that Uri was only rescued from electoral extinction by the GNP’s assinine impeachment stunt last spring. Polls showed the result was a backlash that added 20% to Uri’s numbers. Now, Uri has taken a beating in two consecutive bi-elections, and it’s threatening to split the party.
